Mercenary to open for Brainstorm? Awesome. I had a chance to check out Brainstorm at PP5, and holy hell, I had never heard of them before, but they REALLY rocked the house on an otherwise dismal show. That's going to be an absolutely KILLER tour guys. I hope you enjoy it. I'd LOVE to go see a few shows with both of you playing.

I've seen Brainstorm live two times, they really kick ass. At Vance is also a great band, I love their classic covers(Metal version of Beethovens 5. Symphony, eight minutes ecstasy). And well, Mercenary, I suppose I don't have to tell you that they rock ;)

Yeah sad but certainly true, we know that sucks cause in fact we have 2 days off and we rather wanted to play on these days instead of just doing nothing. And i know you live in austria, so thats a real shame. Maybe one of the other gigs is close enough to Austria, Check it out Miss. Sorry but this is not in our hands.

hahaha, nice one Nailz, we will do our absolute best to come play the US sometime in the future, impossible to say when really. We loved played ProgPower and we just want to play more shows overseas. Well only time will tell my friend. :-)

Hi all, new to the board. I thought registering wouldn't hurt ;)
I'm a Brainstorm fan for many years and oh how often didn't I like the bands they played with (and how often did I complain about it and the guys didn't understand me :D ). So now I'm really happy Mercenary are going to be on this tour....although it's only gonna be the opening slot...it'll be cool! :)

Great Performance guys. Even the Bass string that didn´t want to work anylonger was managed great :)

Bought Everblack and 11 Dreams that evening, did not regret up to now, theyre just great. Very Favourites up to now are Everblack, Seize the night (heard this before the gig and it made me very wondering about your live performance!), 11 Dreams, Firesoul and World hate Center.

What i really like is that Mikkel can sing high, deep, scream and shout and all in a mixture that is just impressive!

If you´ll be around Andernach next time, i´ll try to manage it to see you again and i think you should come again! Anyway thanks for the autographs with this (sucking) white edding that didnt want to dry so fast :D

So, finally at home, my review of the gig in Ludwigsburg. Corrections may follow, I'm way too done to avoid mistakes and way too juiced to go to bed. So here my thoughts after the concert

1. reDestructDead
After the first seconds of surprise this really made my day. I didn't expect this song and I love it! The performance was great and the evening started with some good banging and singing along. I just have to add that the instrumental part after "Into the rain"(love the scream!) is way too short, the rhythm is plainly perfect for some serious hairshaking

2. Firesoul
No surprise there, expected this song and enjoyed it. I think somewhere here they threw the first drumstick, but didn'tget it even with a Indiana-like dive through a woman's legs(it layed there, I swear!)

3. Seize the Night
OK, after two songs from 11 Dreams there had to follow some Everblack stuff. Seize the Night is the obvious and best choice I think

4. World Hate Center
I'm not sure if I make a mistake in the order, but I think this was the next one.

5. Sharpen the Edges
OK, surprised again. Something lighter to prepare for the inevitable ending. I think with a whole crowd knowing the lyrics the chorus would be the killer.

6. 11 Dreams
Well, everything good has to end, and this was the best ending to get. I'm sure now even the ones whos never heard of Mercenary got blown out of the water - at the latest

So, the Setlist was longer than I expected. Later the guys of Mercenary told me they played 5 minutes longer than they were allowed to(well, I won't blame them - would you?). I have to add that the later performance of Brainstorm was also awesome, as was At Vance. Three bands of this quality touring together is unbelievable.
And well, when I later asked at the merchandice store if the bands will sign autographs I just saw the whole crew of Mercenary standing some metres aside. It was fun to talk with you(me stupid only mistook my nickname here with the one from another forum [8)]), you rocked the house. Thanks for some information about a new album and upcomming tours, I'm looking forward to both!
And thanks for the autographs. I got my 11 Dreams booklet signed by everyone(I borrowed my Everblack a friend and as I wanted it back today he said he gave it to someone else - he really needs every square inch of his ass kicked. Maybe striking down with a 12 gauge would be appropriate). And there were some big flyers with a band-pic of mercenary for free, got that signed by everyone too. It's a nice picture, if anyone is interested I can scan it. And they even had a plektrum left for me, I just had to aks politely. Thanks :)

Well, I'm writing way too much. I'm really looking forward to you next gigs in Germany, be sure to see me there!

"11 Dreams" isn't hard to get even in "normal" shops...."Everblack" might be a bit more difficult. You could still try the merch section of this website...you'd need a paypal account though.
