It was a serious problem last year during .. I forget who's set, but a moshpit did break out, and the promoter cannot afford the insurance if this kind of thing escalates into injuries and lawsuits. Also, the majority of us at Prog Power USA detest moshing. It distracts those who do not wish to partake in such an event and disrupts our enjoyment of said set. Some idiots were moshing last year, the promoter came down from his seat... and so respected is he, it was as if the red sea itself parted before his path.

It was seriously a sight to see everyone flowing out to the sides to clear a path for Glenn. Dude in a baseball cap, hawaiian shirt and flipflops, must stand 5'6. Ended the pit with a stern glare, and threw out the fools to much cheering.

I've had my glasses broken, jaw crooked and neck hurting like hell because I stood in the middle of an angry moshcrowd. But in Denmark there's not the same 'tradition' as in the US to make lawsuits againt each other for things like these. I don't think we see it as violence.

I enjoy moshing a bit, but i'm like a twig so i can only hang in there for a couple songs. [B)] I love it though when the bands have the entire audience line up at separate ends of the venue and just sprint at eachother. stage diving is really fun too :D

@ some of the hardcore/metalcore type concerts though some of the moshing is less than desirable and some of the 'dance moves' they pull are flat out dangerous (just throwing punches and kicks everywhere)
