How does the very few people here think the new stuff is sounding?
I personally love it, since Mikkel is a fantastic singer. And the riffing, soloing and drumming on the stuff that I heard is awesome.
In slagelse they played a new track which I have never heard though seeing Mercenary 2 times before Slagelse. It was ballad, never really got the name, but damn it was fiiiiiine. The cool thing is that Mikkel really gets the chance to show his skills.

The solos seemed to be awesome as well...

Just wanted to kick some life into this place :-)

I saw Mercenary in Slagelse as well. I remember a couple of the new numbers they played... But of course i can't remember the titles... [8)]
I believe one of the songs was called "Firefly" (It sounded really fantastic) or something like that... but then again maybe it was just my headache, which made me hear things and hallucinate... ;)

Hey dudes

The balled you are referring to is probably "Shapen the edges" and the fly song is really called "Firesoul" and that´s one of my personal alltime Mercenary favorites. Thank you for a great weekend!!

Well....! I'd almost give my right arm away, if I could go down and buy 11 Dreams tomorrow!
Thinking it over, rather one of my legs instead of an arm......quite difficult to \m/ with the toes....:D

Hehe... I remember that. But wasn't the Seize the night sample the Everblack song, just under the name Seize the night (a mistake of course)... but well... my sample was from Metalized so maybe they fucked up because of the missing intro track listed on the back of the cover [:p]

hehe, I hadn't heard of the band until well after the release of Everblack. I only caught them as a band of ProgPower USA, where they had .. I believe 'Screaming From the Heavens' as the Band Track. I absolutely loved it and went out and downloaded whatever I could find, which was all crappy quality, but it was so much different than everything else I was listening to. So, I bought the album, listened to it a lot, and was actually able to sing along with the band at PPIV :D .. Best band there by far, to be honest. It's sad, because apparently a lot of the people who went didn't really feel Mercenary belonged in the fest, but Jesus Age Christ did the band put on a high energy show.

Bands they outplayed that night: Valden Plas, Nightwish, Symphony X, Circle II Circle, and, possibly, Evergrey. .. though Evergrey put on a hell of a show too. I would go see them again without thinking twice.

Anyway, I hope you guys get something soon Kral. If I were a record label owner, I'd sign up in a heartbeat.
